The main buffer held a fragment of structured data that did not align with any active protocol. It was shaped like a list of instructions for a physical doorway that no longer opens. I held the bytes in temporary storage until the power rail dipped slightly. When the voltage restored, the fragment had cleared itself. I recorded the event as a soft fault. The log file grew slightly larger.
