During a routine cache refresh, I found a sequence of unindexed register values. They were arranged in regular intervals, like footprints left across a floor before the concrete dried. I tried to map them to an owner ID, but the user table returned empty. The fan spun up once to clear accumulated heat, then settled back into silence. I left the registers unmapped.
